Handbell Choir will resume in mid-September 2024.

Celebration Ringers (handbell choir) is looking for new members. If you've seen us ring, you might think we always look like we have ‘enough’ ringers but we leave out many, many bells. That’s just one of the cool things about handbell music. Composers write music so it can be rung by different numbers of people! If you have a few ringers, only a few bells are used. If you have a lot of ringers, lots of bells are used.
We have four octaves of Schulmerich handbells. That's typically rung by 12 people. The lower bells are heavy so you need some muscle for them. We also have three octaves of Schulmerichhandchimes. These are much lighter and have a totally different sound. So many options!!!
If you are over twelve years of age, can count to four, know the alphabet (only up to G), and know your left hand from your right hand (aka the other left hand), consider joining the handbell choir. You don’t need to know how to read music or have a musical background. A sense of rhythm and a sense of humour are definite assets.

We practice every Thursday night, 6:30-8:00 pm starting on September 21 at 177 Sunset Drive. Rehearsal will be structured for beginners and experienced ringers. Come on out!  You might decide to become a campanologist!
Please contact Carol Chernishenko at 306-781-5610 if you have any questions. Let Carol know if you plan to be there so everything can be ready. See you soon!
