Rooms & facilities are rented to a wide variety of user groups and organizations for many different reasons. Requests are reviewed and granted pursuant to Wesley’s Policies, Procedures, and Fee Schedule for space and facility rentals. This pamphlet is intended to provide some information to address the most frequently asked questions about renting space at Wesley United Church. If you are interested, please contact the Office Coordinator who will assist you with the application process, rental fee information and facility use Terms and Conditions.  

What rooms are available?

Auditorium  3600 sq. ft. (Theatre-style seating: up to 200 people; Table seating: up to 135 people)

Kitchen Lounge  561 sq. ft. (up to 30 people)

Room 105  1000 sq. ft. (Theatre-style seating: up to 60 people; Table seating: up to 45 people)

Room 107  252 sq. ft. (up to 14 people)

Kitchen (Facilities include commercial dishwasher, gas stoves and ovens, fridges; dishes, utensils, cutlery, carafes, tea pots, urns, sinks)

What are your fees?

Is parking available at the church?

Yes, there is a large parking lot on the premises containing 68 painted stalls which are shared by all who are using Wesley United Church.  First come, first served.  Please do not park in designated areas for staff or in the accessible parking spots unless you are authorized to do so.

Please be notified: Wesley United Church is located near the University of Regina, and the streets are regularly patrolled by parking enforcement officers.  When parking on the street, please follow all parking signs.

Is alcohol or smoking permitted in the church?

No, Wesley has a policy whereby alcohol is not permitted in the building or on the premises.  Smoking is not allowed in the building.

If you would like to have a smudging ceremony or use incense, discuss with the office coordinator. 

Can I request how I want things set up?

Yes. Give us a diagram of how you want the tables and chairs set up, including head table, if desired.  We have 5 ft. tables (seat up to 6) and 8 ft. tables (seat up to 10).  Card tables (seat 4) are also available for events such as bridge tournaments.  Setup requirements are to be provided at least 2 business days prior to your event.  

Does Wesley offer catering?

Yes, for congregation members and adherents only.

Can I decorate the room?

Yes! Use only masking tape on the brick walls. Helium filled balloons are NOT ALLOWED in the Auditorium as they can get tangled in the ceiling fans.  

Do you have flipchart stands?

Yes! Please request at the time of booking. Bring your own markers - we can provide the flipchart paper.

Do you have a data projector and screens?

Yes! We have a new projector in the Auditorium.  We also have a portable data projector. There are pull-down screens in the Kitchen Lounge, and the Auditorium.
