The Mission and Service Fund (from Mandate Mission and Service Fund Special Edition 2003/2004)
The Mission and Service Fund (M&S) is a unified fund that supports the work of the church and its partners. M&S is supported totally by voluntary gifts from members and adherents.
Our unified fund pools all of our gifts and distributes them to a wide variety of projects and programs in Canada and overseas. Our unified fund is a fair and efficient means of supporting the overall mission and ministry of the church. It allows the church and our partners to plan ahead and it enables the United Church to make long-term commitments when needed.
Wesley United Church members have a long history of generous support for the M&S fund. "A minute for mission", which tells us about the projects supported by M&S, is included in some of our services.
